    • Change Order Authorization procedure for all change orders needed on large jobs to relieve liability and responsibility when problems occur.
    • Standard Huntington TV contract form that exists within the Statement of Work that critically outlines everything that we will and will not take responsibility for when undertaking a project.
    • Converted the paper/fax ordering system into a fully computerized Ordering System incorporating QuickBooks and email. Orders now integrate properly with Inventory and Accounts Payable saving significant time and providing reporting capabilities. New inventory ordering and handling procedures dramatically increased job fulfillment and decreased expenses for shipping costs and repeat visits.

  • Designed and implemented a remote-access VPN solution for encrypted access to trusted resources (including file and print services, telnet, ftp, etc.) from any ISP account into the Bentley campus.
  • Project manager for the upgrade of the college network security strategy. Facilitated the process of determining the appropriate firewall strategy (Checkpoint’s Firewall-1) and managed the upgrade process from start to finish. Worked with various departments in order to determine the appropriate security measures that needed to be implemented.
  • Responsible for the design, programming, implementation and documentation of an automated network software upgrade utility used to convert 1,000+ DOS-based users from Pathworks 4.2 over DECnet to Pathworks 6.0 over TCP/IP. Programmed using Pascal, this utility allowed the user to choose when they wanted to perform the upgrade, kept track of who was upgraded successfully, and alerted me when someone encountered a failed upgrade. The program had a 95+% success rate.
  • Installed and configured a network management solution utilizing Cabletron’s Spectrum 5.0 running on Solaris 2.6. The database contained over 15,000 network objects spanning multiple subnets and topologies, which was used for the following: Fault isolating alarm notification of downtime via pager/e-mail; SNMP Trap handling and Inventory reporting.
